On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Pearl Hotel -Bujumbura, the Christian Organization HarvestInitiatives hosted a conference for writers and media.
The purpose of the conference was to lunch a jubilee week of the 25th anniversary of the Christian organization's birth and its activities in Burundi.
The conference was hosted by Pastor Onesphore MANIRAKIZA, leader of the group of 7 students who founded the organization at the University of Burundi in 2000; Dr. Victor BARANTOTA, one of the founders of the organization and his legal representative; and Pastor Donatien NDAGIJIMANA, Director of the organization's National Headquarters.
It was an opportunity to report on the achievements of the organization during those years, as well as their goals for the coming years.
Pastor Donatien NDAGIJIMANA, gave a summary of the work they have accomplished during those years, which are: preaching the gospel in the provinces of the country through harvest teams, using the two-by-two technique, house to house, preparing disciples and leaders, supporting and providing knowledge to leaders of different churches, bringing the Gospel to underprivileged communities through acts of compassion and love, especially in Twa communities, and thus contributing to the development of the 'Nation: general development, education and human health.
You may note that this event is the opening of the Jubilee Week, with other activities planned for October 15 and 16, in Muramvya at the Karubabi Missionary Center, and the Jubilee itself to be celebrated on October 17 in Bujumbura.
